Inspired by the rich tapestry of the French pastry tradition, two women embarked on a quest to create confections that would not only tantalise the taste buds but also evoke a sense of joy and wonder. The bakers met at a patisserie school in Bengaluru after they moved to the Silicon Valley of India, from their respective hometowns in the eastern part of the country, West Bengal. As soon as they completed their course in fine French baking and pastry-making at a renowned culinary school, Atrayee and Uttara began working relentlessly towards the realisation of their dream. Thus, in 2023, ‘Caramelo Salado – Patisserie and Boulangerie’ was born. You see, their meeting was probably written in the stars, for it was their destiny to create Caramelo Salado together. Everyday they add a new page to a tale spun from passion, tradition, and an unyielding commitment to craftsmanship.
Armed with a never-ending pursuit of perfection and an unwavering dedication to quality, Atrayee and Uttara honed their skills under the guidance of master pastry chefs across the city. With each twist of the whisk and turn of the spatula, they infuse their creations with a touch of artistry and a dash of innovation, transforming humble ingredients into edible works of art. Choreographing a delicate dance of flour, butter, and sugar with technical precision, every plate of sweetness coming out of this kitchen is nothing but a piece of art.
